(278/365) Autumn colours starting to show in the trees at Newmarket's recently revamped Pitch & Putt course. I don't play golf but am going to try & do the 1km perimeter walk 2 or 3 times a week. It's a lovely walk with a stream & varied habitats. My son works 3 days a week in the restaurant at the James O'Keeffe institute which is adjacent to the course so when I drop him off I can do some power walking. That's the theory anyway lol my trouble is I keep stopping to take photos! HTMT!
Putting on a good show, the 640 local climbs out of the Helena Valley on the way to Livingston. Not long after this, GP35's took over the local assignment.

A contrast between light, dark and misty. The background was muted just enough to keep the yellow tree on the edge of the lake as the main feature. The manicured grass is part of the 9 hole pitch and putt golf course at the Inn on the Lake hotel.
Yes I know there's a builders van in the middle of the photo.......!

I am literally putting this out there because I have no idea how to look in on my peeps now. I've been silent yet peeking for a while because I don't have anything worthy of your consideration, imho, and I kept seeing the 'go to the activity thingy' after the 7th but, I can't find it and I have no idea how to find y'all's posts. If you go to my page you will see that I follow 101 people, four of which I know to have passed away, but I keep and visit them on occasion because I loved them and their post's, just as I do you folks, even when I don't comment I do look in and keep up and pay the 'pro' rate just to keep this thing going and have no interest in the other 'perks'. In short, you folks are more important to me than I can express, even when I'm not participating, so for the love of God, how the heck do I find your shtuff now!?
And I bet there is a huge amount to discuss these days.
A scene that happens the world over in one form or another. In Britain often such impromptu meetings occur indoors in pubs but in warmer climates small groups of men can be seen meeting on a park bench or elsewhere outside. In this case a doorstep does the trick.
Photographed in Ortiga, Sicily.
Totally not sure now! I am making my original idea but a few of the comments yesterday have given me another idea! I might have to make 2! Not finished yet though.
Dismal day on the Huon River made slightly more bearable by some nice light and a Putt-Putt on her mooring.
The name: Putt-Putt; from the sound of the single cylinder diesel that shifts them along at a blistering 5kts downwind... I've heard them called Tonk-Tonks as well for the same reason but those vessels are usually a lot bigger.

Putting "Ranch" or "Western" into a business name seems popular around these parts.
For god knows what reason, they covered this sign with plywood, so unless it falls down, you won't see it anymore.
When you see what this sign looked like fully working, it makes you sad.

Even if you don't play golf, you might like the way this mini putting green is maintained and manicured. :)

You might put up fences between you and I but I can still see the light shining through your eyes. [author : me]

HFF everyone! HFF tout le monde!
